Hi, I’d like to remove the comment voting on our GraphComment widget.
Is this possible?17 March 2020 at 11 h 53 min #5223
If you mean completely remove, no it’s not possible.
You can activate the discreet mode of voting in the settings tab but this is only to hide the icons.
The vote is deeply in our DNA, it’s the base to sort by relevance the comments.

Thanks for your reply.
I just don’t like the whole boosting and ‘Troll’ labels for voting. A simple thumbs up thumbs down would be better for us – we’re encouraging business owners to use the system, but they may be put off if someone can harshly vote their comments with ‘Troll’.
I notice that only the premium model allows for discreet voting – why is this?
Many thanks17 March 2020 at 12 h 12 min #5225
If the reputation of the voter is bad, the troll vote will be automatically hidden for readers and the weight of the vote will be negligible.
There is few mechanisms like this to keep a good frame of mind.
As I explain, the voting is on our DNA, so we don’t want to generalize this feature.
Boosting mode is only for moderators (Editors). Simple users don’t have the booster on their vote modal.
We are considering to hide negative votes for a period of new users, like 15 days and few comments posted.

I’d like to +1 what Ricky said.
I understand that voting is in your DNA, and I like the feature overall.
But for a use case like ours, the voting choices aren’t ideal.
It might be worth consider more flexibility (e.g. an option to remove the troll label, or the option only to have a few positive reactions).
